Unfortunately Josh has taken the easy way out on his new vocals. He has a great voice, but to save himself from having to live up to that great voice live, he’s starting singing A LOT in his falsetto. This way he doesn’t have to worry about singing full voice in concert on those glorious high notes that he CAN hit, but is too nervous to have to live up to. He is a terrific talent, but to honor great talent he should push himself to live up to it. And none of these songs are all that spectacular. They are OK, but I agree with David Foster – when Josh is in his own “lane” no one does it better. When he tries to emulate singer/songwriters like Paul Simon and others, he comes up short. These songs are not his best. His singing on his Christmas CD was spectacular. These are just OK. Josh – push yourself to live up to your gifts.

This is an amazing album as it is live from the Apple Store. Josh Groban’s voice resonates within your soul and awakens your senses. Once again, the lyrics are relevant and speak to the listener as Josh tugs at ones heart strings. Josh Groban is one of the most talented individuals in the music business. I was a bit trepidations when I learned Josh broke from Foster, but the combination of Groban and Rubin proved to be an excellent combination. I highly recommend purchase of this performance as it is most defiantly a representation of some of Groban’s greatest works.

I was with 3OH!3 from the beginning, but can you say mainstream? From a musical standpoint, the chorus is probably one of the most common melodies ever played in pop music. Seriously, you have musical talent, stop writing music in such a structured musical pattern. Before 3OH!3 came out with their big Katy Perry single with Stagestruck, they had a distinct way of mixing pop music and singing with an almost rap-based style of rhythm in their music. It also almost seemed slightly poorly produced, which, (instead of seeming like a cheap and crappy sound), only added to the variety and diversity of their music. Now, instead of keeping the style of music that put them on the map, they have kept some key aspects but have chosen to mix it with almost a boy band kind of style (most apparent in the chorus). It’s disappointing, but I liked the music they put in the verses. The chorus is really what I’m complaining about. Please 3OH!3, don’t sell out.

I don’t understand people’s tastes in music. As far as musicality goes, this song is terrible. The beat is incredibly basic, to the point that my 10 year old sister could make it on either a drum set or a drum machine. The synthetic voices themselves aren’t original, I’ve heard them a million times, which defeats the point of using a real synthetic. And the chords. Oh, the chords. There the same four chords you always hear. There’s no originality to be found here.

I know she sounds a lot like Ken$ha, but what most people don’t know is that Ken and Avril Lavinie worked with Miranda on her Sparks Fly Album. So, I’m sure the Ken$ha vocal teaching “rubbed off” on her. Its not a bad thing at all. I think she’ll go far in this world and I’m buying this song =) I hope she breaks out of her kid image and transforms to the adult music industry with flair! Also to all the haters, I bet if you were blindfolded and forced to listen to Miranda Cosgrove , Milly Cyrus, Justin Briber, WITHOUT knowing who they were, you guys would probably LIKE it. SO many immature people put up a mental block when they hear those names, automatically writing the song off as “Crap” because “They” don like that artist and they feel they must “Hate them” I’m twenty six, I don’t feel “stupid” or “immature” or “pedophile” for liking to listen to Miranda, Milly and Justin. They have sweet lyrics that everyone can enjoy. Its no different than listening to ‘adult’ music, only difference is the lyrics aren’t swearing, and that doesn’t make you ‘grown up’ it makes you childish if you rate your music based on the four letter F word.

This song is not bad. Decent beat, well produced, I could do without the annoying accent at certain parts of the chorus but all in all it makes me wanna get up and dance and that’s it’s purpose. I can tell having Avril come in and write this for Miranda was an attempt to help Miranda mature musically which it does in some respects but come on “I like u u like me we get together and were happy”. Miranda is 18 and I can only hope more mature than silly crushes. So overall this is an OK song with cutesy vocals. The only thing that makes this listen able is Miranda in all honesty if this was any other singer I wouldn’t waste my money.

I had this album imported about a month ago (I got it for Christmas) and since then, it’s pretty much been the soundtrack of my life! It is no way whatsoever a ‘sophomore slump’. Since ‘Bullet from a Gun’ is not on the version I have, I just bought it to ensure I have all the songs from Science and Faith (besides Walk Away w/ B.O.B. which I’m not too disappointed about because I like the original 1,000 times better!) Just by listening to this album it’s clear how much The Script have grown since releasing their first album. Don’t get me wrong, I love their first, self titled album, but I feel like the way these songs are delivered are so much more emotionally complex than the first album. You can tell how much these guys care about their music just by the way they perform it! There is so much feeling in these songs which is why I love them so much. Although I love all of the songs on this album, my favorites are You Wont Feel a Thing (A Fantastic opening! Pulls you in a makes you excited for more!)For the First Time  Nothing (I feel like the subject of this song- drunk dialing- could be deemed pathetic presented in a different way. But I personally view this song as simply powerful. The music for this song is amazing as well!)This = Love (I think of ‘This=Love’ as the Science and Faith equivalent of  ‘We Cry’ because they each deal with universal subjects, hopelessness in the case of  ‘We Cry’ and love in the case of this song. I especially love the rap. Which says a lot because usually I hate rap all in all, a fantastic album. I totally recommend it.

The Script is one of those bands that has never made a bad song. Seriously if you just listen to every one of their songs, you will fall in love. I saw them in concert, and oh my goodness they are SOON amazing! Danny can even sing HIGHER in concert than he does on this album. They are my favorite band of all time! Its simply incredible. Everything about this band is beyond amazing, and I guarantee you will be be so hooked that you hit replay over a million times. No joke, their music is timeless and will never grow old. Ever. I have been waiting for this album to come out for months and months ever since it was released in the UK and not in the US. It was definitely worth the wait. I LOVE THE SCRIPT. They are the best band ever!! seriously. This album is incredible, and I will be listening to it constantly for the rest of my life.

I think that it is funny that I’m just a teenager who hasn’t even had sex yet and I can tell that I’m ten times more intelligent than the adults commenting on this song. I can tell because none of these critics seem to understand the mockery in this song or the fact that it is pure entertainment. These “role models” aren’t saying they just had sex. They are portraying the humor in the fact that there are kids in our society that act like this and showing them how ridiculous it looks to everyone else. I have heard worse music from older generations, let us not forget nine inch nails. So maybe if you would stop worrying about songs about sex on i Tunes and start worrying about teaching your children right from wrong yourselves then songs about sex on i Tunes really would be our biggest problem in life instead of murders and poverty. Even if this song wasn’t a joke, sex is still a part of life and your children are bound to discover that sooner or later regardless of one funny song that they listened to when they were 13. Our music speaks to our generation so much because it helps us with the things we go through that others could never understand. Its not fair to overgeneralize about modern music. There are so many amazing artists out there right now. Ignorance can be so dangerous. I think this song is fun and it makes people laugh so there is no harm done here! I just bought it with my own money (that I worked for) and I plan on listening to it over and over again (without being influenced to have sex) so take it easy and enlighten yourself in the humor too. P.S. If you are going to write a review about how corrupted the youth is today you could at least try to use some correct spelling, or grammar for that matter. Then again, you could just write like a 5 year old and create more irony for people like myself.

I don’t know why there are comments about music getting worse and this being an example of it. This song is a joke, a parody, a farce and is meant to be laughed at. Yes there is a lot of example of music getting worse and it in fact is but this is a joke. So stop reading so much into things and listen and laugh. This song is catchy and funny. If you can’t agree it doesn’t mean you have exceptional musical taste. It means you have no sense of humor and are probably very boring. Great song from The Lonely Island, can’t wait for their next COMEDY album.
