Drew Seeley The Resolution , Act 2 EP

I’ve been an avid Drew fan for a little while now. I enjoy all of his music. But I have to say, just as he hit his stride as an actor with Hallmark’s “Freshman Father” (oh yeah people, he’s like, a quadruple threat! He sings, writes, dances, AND acts!), so has he also hit his stride as a musician, as an artist with “The Resolution” . How do you put it in to words?! Every song is better than the one before it (quite an accomplishment really, as they’re all stellar!) and every song holds some new surprise. Whether it’s touching lyrics like in Act 1′s “Why Can’t You Say That You’re Mine”, to the pulse pounding, make you wanna dance, Michael Jackson “Esquire” beat and style of “Let It Go!”, or the R&B, almost jazz type groove of “Beautiful”. And they’re very repeatable as well; each song touches on some emotion and has something in it that every listener can connect to. For those who are like me who also enjoy the technical aspect behind music as well, these two albums are a real treat! Not only does Drew continue (as always) to have a very smooth, supported sound (Yay! Someone who DOESN’T sing through their nose! Yessss!) but here are some pretty creative, complex rhythm patterns to these songs as well. “Let It Go!” and “Beautiful” especially have these gorgeous crisp, clean, syncopated beats that are well written and well performed. Really-it’s just a treat to listen to! I could go on (believe me) but really, I’ve said too much already. What can one fan’s overzealous words say that Drew’s music can’t say for itself?! Oh and Drew….I have to say man…you’re vocal reach and falsetto is INSANE! I’m a true soprano and some of those notes you hit are creeping up in MY register! He-seriously all-check out Acts 1 and 2. It’s “B-E-A-Plentiful!”

Drew’s music is SUCH a relief from some of the noise some people pass for music. With “The Resolution” I can actually listen to a storyline within the lyrics (something music lately has forgotten how to do) He’s an amazing singer/songwriter who is in constant rotation on my i pod. Act 1 was a good, but Act 2 kinda kicks it up a bit more. This one, I have a little more trouble choosing an absolute favorite track. “Beautiful” and “Lazy Daze” are the kinds of songs you can play on a day where you have nothing to do but relax. “Let It Go” is on my workout play list Especially the remix that Brandon Stravinsky did for this song. I can honestly say I can’t wait till the next EP comes out. I haven’t this excited since *Syncope’s “No Strings Attached” album way back when. lot Awesome job Drew!
